Away we go

The tension rod arrived, so off to work we go. Route out the slot for the rod.

Now we can glue in the tail piece. Yes I did use steam to bend the sides even though it was not supposed to be required...

Now glue on the front. The rod has to have a spacer in front of it the same thickness as the front (sound board).

Now we can shape the front and glue on the finger board.

It looks like I did not take so many pictures of this progress. It did seem to happen quickly, most of it at the beginning of summer. The next bit since has been slow on both instruments as most of it has been hand sanding. I do need to get back to more work though.
