The Trekker is normally a kit guitar, but the plans are free to download... and they don't seem to sell the kits right now. This design is made to be easy to make and small enough to take with one when hiking or camping. It would have been nice to make it headless too but I think that would have made it too complex for the target audience.

If you have been following my Madocello build at all, you may have seen these pictures:

Well the trekker calls for a piece of hardwood 3in x 1.5in X 33 3/8in. And I have found that getting big chunks of hardwood costs more than the 1in stock... which I also just happened to have some of. So I cut 4 3/4inch strips 1.5 inches wide (well a little wider). and glued them together. They don't all have to be the same length because a big slot gets cut out at one end.

Next time we will start cutting this frame to size. Maybe start making some of the other bits for it.
